Travel Tackle Football
The 703 United Lions are a travel football league based in Prince William County, drawing players from surrounding areas, including Stafford, Arlington, Alexandria, Loudoun, Fairfax, and Fredericksburg. Established in 2020, the league thrives with the support of dedicated parents, hardworking players, a dynamic coaching staff, and strong community involvement, including sponsors. Serving as a feeder program for multiple high schools, the Lions host their home games at Gar-Field High School and Benton Middle Schools.
The 703 United Youth Sports Football Program is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to developing football, flag football, and cheerleading skills for children aged 4 to 14. Emphasizing sportsmanship, safety, positive competition, and fun, the program nurtures youth athletes' growth both on and off the field. As a member of the Virginia American Youth Football Alliance and affiliated with American Youth Football (AYF), 703 United provides a platform for young athletes to excel and build a strong foundation for their future.

Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
Players range in age from 5-13 years old based on a July 31, cut-off.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Practices begin mid-July. The regular season runs between August and October. The post-season is from October through December.
Games
Where?
Home games are held at Benton and Saunders Middle Schools (subject to change). Away Games may be played across the metro region within VA, MD, WVA, and DC. Regular season games typically remain within four hours of travel from our home field.
When?
Games are typically played on Saturdays during the regular season, but due to field availability, they may be played on Sundays
Practices
When?
Teams practice 4-5 times per week in the summer. When school starts, they typically practice 2-3 times a week. The head coach sets the team's practice days.
Where?
Practices are held at local fields such as Saunders Middle School, Benton Middle School, Independent Hill fields, and other local schools.
Equipment
Does the league issue equipment?
Helmets, shoulder pads, and practice football pants are available to players to borrow from the league for the season.
What equipment am I responsible for?
Families are to provide mouthpieces and cleats for their players.
Uniforms
Are uniforms provided or are they purchased separately?
The league will provide each player with two uniforms (home and away) , which will be returned to the league at the end of the season. During the registration process, parents will have the opportunity to request a personalized jersey that the player will be able to keep at the end of the season.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
You can expect team fundraising, banquet, and some additional cost accrued with the team.
